When a vehicle-specific option is not available – or your build needs a completely custom speaker location – universal speaker pods provide a clean, ready-made starting point without building the enclosure from fiberglass.
Some vehicles simply don't have a ready-made pod. Universals give you a proven starting point.
Put your speakers where they make the most sense for your build, not just where the factory allows.
Use universal pods in garages, workshops, simulators, displays, and other custom audio projects.
Universal pods are not vehicle-specific. You must measure your available space, mounting surface, and depth clearance to ensure proper fitment. Always test fit before installation.
Universal pods are not designed around a specific vehicle or panel, so fitment is not guaranteed. Confirm that you have a suitable mounting surface, enough room for the complete pod, and adequate clearance behind and around the installation area before ordering.
Choose a flat pod when the mounting surface already points the speaker in the desired direction. Choose an angled pod when you need to direct the speaker toward the listening area or improve clearance. Consider the pod’s complete footprint and angle—not just the speaker opening.
Compare the pod’s outside dimensions and mounting footprint with your available installation area. You should also verify your speaker’s outside diameter, required cutout diameter, mounting depth, basket and magnet clearance, and terminal clearance. Measure the actual speakers and installation area whenever possible.
Yes. Universal placement requires careful planning. Check for moving windows, door handles, seats, trim panels, wiring, airbags, controls, and other components before drilling or cutting. Test-fit the pod and speaker together before making permanent modifications.
The speaker enclosure itself is already formed, so you do not need to build a pod from fiberglass or bondo. Installation may still require drilling mounting holes, trimming the installation surface, creating a support or bracket, routing speaker wire, or making other adjustments for your application.
It depends on the product. Some universal pods are sold individually, while others are sold as a pair or combined assembly. Review the Pair or Single designation and the What’s in the Box section on the individual product page before ordering.
Check your vehicle before committing to a universal installation. We may already offer a pod designed around your exact panel.
