Universal pods are not designed around a specific vehicle or installation surface, so fitment is not guaranteed. Compare the pod’s complete dimensions and mounting footprint with your available space. Confirm surrounding clearance, mounting-surface strength, and wire-routing access before ordering.
Choose a solid, accessible surface with enough room for the complete pod and speaker. Check for windows, seats, controls, airbags, wiring, trim panels, and other moving components. The location should also allow the pod to be securely mounted and the speaker wire to be safely routed.
Do not rely on nominal speaker size alone. Compare your speaker’s actual outside diameter, required cutout diameter, mounting depth, basket and magnet dimensions, and terminal clearance with the specifications shown on this page. Measure the actual speaker whenever possible.
The speaker enclosure is already formed, so you do not need to build the pod itself from fiberglass or bondo. Installation may still require drilling mounting holes, cutting an opening, creating additional support, trimming the mounting surface, or making other adjustments for your application.

Paintability depends on the selected finish. Standard grained or smooth ABS finishes can generally be prepared and painted using products designed for plastic. Painting premium finishes such as carbon fiber, piano black, platinum, or leather is not recommended. Proper cleaning, surface preparation, adhesion promoter, and compatible coatings are essential.
