Gavin Sanpietro –
I purchased a set of speaker pods from CustomSpeakerPods.com for my F-150, and while the build quality is excellent, there are some serious fitment issues that weren’t mentioned in the product description. The pods fit securely and provide a solid mounting solution, with some additional modifications. But they block both my glove box and my emergency brake.
I didn’t realize the glove box issue until I was pulled over and couldn’t access my registration and insurance without opening the passenger door—not exactly a situation you want to be in. On top of that, I can’t engage or release my emergency brake without opening the driver’s side door, which is a major inconvenience.
These are things I would have liked to know before purchasing. If you have an F-150, be aware of these potential problems. Hopefully, the company updates their product description to reflect these issues. The quality is great, but the lack of crucial fitment details is disappointing.
