Choosing speakers for your pods does not need to be complicated. Start with the opening size, consider how you want the system to sound, and make sure the speakers and amplifier work well together.

No. “6×9” is a nominal size, and frame shapes, cutouts, mounting-hole patterns and depths vary by manufacturer and model. Match the exact dimensions to the pod before ordering.
Use the recommended RMS range shown on the speaker product page. Multiply the per-speaker recommendation by the number of speakers being powered, then confirm the amplifier’s output at the final wired impedance. Use the recommended crossover settings for the selected model.
Choose impedance based on the number of speakers, how they will be wired and the amplifier’s stable load. Plan the final wired impedance before choosing the amplifier.
For protected interior speaker pods, a standard speaker is generally suitable. Choose a weather-resistant model for pods exposed to moisture, mud, salt or direct outdoor use, and follow the manufacturer’s installation guidance.
